- WHAT'S HAPPENING FOR 2016:
Friday, June 3, 2016: The iris garden will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. Over the top for full bloom, but there are still many beautiful iris to see. Accepting orders in the garden for late July/early August pickup. If the weather forecasts are correct, this will probably be the last weekend we are open for 2016.
Monday, May 30, 2016 Memorial Day: Sunny with light wind. Temperatures predicted to be in the low 70s. Still lots of tall bearded iris blooming, but bloom is starting to fall off. Next week's high temperatures in the upper 90s will probably mean that the bloom will be finished by week end. Always call to check bloom situation and open days and hours. No appointments accepted for Wednesday, June 1.
Saturday, May 28, 2016: cool, windy day with some sun today. Lots of tall bearded iris blooming. Intermediate and border iris are finished. Still have a few Miniature Tall Bearded iris in bloom. High heat predicted for next week will probably mean the end of the Tall Bearded iris for 2016. If you are thinking of selecting some iris for your garden, the time is now. We only accept orders in the garden, and we no longer ship iris. If you ordered iris, we will call you when they are ready for pick up.
